Ray Matsumiya, Executive Director
University of the Middle East Project

Ray Matsumiya, a Boston, Massachusetts native, joined the University of the Middle East Project (UME) at its founding and has been the Executive Director since 2007.

Ray's work with cross cultural collaborations has been presented on the TEDx stage and led to groundbreaking conversations about peace around the world. Ray has engaged global audiences in dialogue about Mid-East Peace, including people in Hiroshima. He will share with us his perspective on the lesser-known role of the Japanese in contributing to peace in the Middle East.
