The Fletcher Japan Club welcomes Kanoko Kamata, one of the leading figures of community organizing movement in Japan as a speaker of our second seminar. During dinner time session (pizza will be served), Kanoko will share her leadership experiences as a co-founder and former Executive Director of Community Organizing Japan (COJ).

Recently, Kamata's grass-root movement has reached in Reforming Japan's Sex Crime Laws. She was also nominated for one of 100 leaders of the next generation.

Topics will include:

  • What is community organizing?
  • Leading the society through grass-root movements?

  • Current Japanese society and learning from anti sex crime campaign
