Talk: A History of Tea Culture
Takeuchi Jun’ichi discusses the aesthetics of tea and the place of the tea ceremony in the cultural history of Japan.

Conversation: Contemporary Tea Pottery Tsujimura Shiro and Suzuki Goro⎯living legends among Japanese potters and American artist Jeff Shapiro speak about their work and creative processes.

Exhibition Viewing: "An Unspoken Dialogue with Japanese Tea"
(opens February 12, 2011).

Discussion: Collecting Teaware
Curator Anne Morse and collector Richard Danziger discuss collecting Japanese tea ceramics.

Tea Ceremony: Talk and Demonstration
Allan Palmer performs the 400-year-old tradition of chanoyu, the Japanese tea ceremony, with a demonstration and explanation of the procedure, use, and symbolic identity of essential utensils.
