Please join us for the inaugural meeting of the Japan Society of Boston Book Club! It is the intention of this book club to read the written works of Japanese and Japanese-American writers as well as other works that offer insights into Japan and Japanese culture. Meetings will consist of time for socializing, book discussion, and administrative tasks, such as voting for the new book for the next month and where the next month’s meeting will be held.

For our first meeting the JSB Book Club will be discussing Kokoro by Natsume Soseki, “a deeply thematic novel that provides an excellent introduction to one of Japan’s most beloved authors.”

Come join your fellow book and Japan enthusiasts and bring any suggestions you have for future book club meetings. Read Kokoro before June 28, and come discuss with us!
