Join this free lecture presented by Professor Andrew Gordon, Lee and Juliet Folger Fund Professor of History, Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, Department of History, Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences. "Dark tourism" describes the phenomenon of tourists traveling to places historically associated with death and tragedy. The practice is controversial and recently began a topic of discussion in Japan due to a episode showing a tour of Fukushima in Netflix's "Dark Tourist" show.
