One Ok Rock, Japan’s sensational alternative rock and power pop artists are bringing their signature sounds to Boston!

One Ok Rock was formed in Tokyo in 2005 and currently consists of Ryota Kohama (bass guitar and backing vocals), Takahiro "Taka" Moriuchi (lead vocals), Toru Yamashita (guitars, backing vocals, leader), and Tomoya Kanki (drums, percussion). They’ve had a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 2 extended plays, 19 singles, 7 video albums, and 29 music videos. They’ve done covers of songs by renowned artists such as Stevie Wonder, Nirvana, Vanessa Carlton, Adele, Zayn Malik, and My Chemical Romance. They’ve also featured in music videos of tracks by Against the Current, Simple Plan, Grown Kids, ALLY and DIAZ, and Aimer. They’ve received many accolades including 4 MTV Video Music Awards Japan (for Best Video from a Film and 3 for Best Rock Video), an MTV Europe Music Award (for Best Japanese Act), 2 Space Shower Music Video Awards (for Best Your Choice and Best Active Overseas), and a Classic Rock Award (for Eastern Breakthrough Male Band). They’ve also been nominated for an Alternative Press Music Award (for Best International Band), 3 more MTV Europe Music Awards (for Best Japanese Act), 2 more MTV Video Music Awards Japan (for Best Rock Video and Best Group Video).
