O-Bon Festival
Friday, August 26th: 6:30PM

Enjoy an evening experiencing a traditional outdoor* Japanese summer festival.
 
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, you can even bring a picnic dinner or snacks.  We will provide water, Japanese summer tea, mugicha and Japanese snow cones called Kakigori... all for FREE!

 
Many new students, here for just 1 month (including 26 male students) anxiously volunteered to teach you Japanese culture at this festival.


Activities will include:
Trying on traditional Japanese clothes
Origami
Calligraphy
Taiko drumming 
Fan decorating
and more...
 
 *This event will be held outside on the Front Lawn next to our Administration Building.  Please plan according to the weather, ie. a light jacket, bug repellant, etc.
