Explore the ancient art form of calligraphy with Master artist Michiko Imai. Observe how A few graceful brush strokes can bring words to life. Visitors are invited to join in and create a small calligraphy of their own. Michiko Imai was born and raised in Nara, Japan. She began her studies of Calligraphy at the age of four at Baikou Calligraphy School. In 1998 Ms. Imai was awarded the highest rank in Japanese Calligraphy called Shihan. Her work has been displayed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and many other museums throughout Japan. This is a drop-in program. Come anytime and stay for as long as you would like.
