Looking Back Looking Forward: The Sculpture of Michio Ihara

Concord Art Association is honored to present an exhibit of sculpture by internationally renowned Japanese kinetic sculptor and artist, Michio Ihara.
A Concord resident, Michio has devoted over fifty years to creating sculpture for architectural and public spaces all over the world.
From June 20 to August 11, you have an opportunity to see a selection of his kinetic sculptures in the galleries and the garden at Concord Art Association.

THURSDAY 6/27 @ 7pm: Temporal Tinctures: In the context of Michio's show and with Michio in attendance, kinetic sculptor Anne Lilly will speak about working in time and space, recognizing members, embracing a discipline, and the role of physical skill in art making. The lecture is free and open to the public.
